Answers


1. Which category do I post my ad in?

The category that best describes the item you are requesting.


2. What happens if I have posted my advert in the wrong category?

Once you’ve posted your ad, it is not possible to change the category that it is posted under. However if it is extremely vital to change it to a different category then send us an email and we’ll do it for you. Contact us at support@bmboot.com


3. Can I put links to other websites within in my advert?

BMBOOT does not allow users to include external links, our unique service allows you to create the ideal ad by uploading pictures and allowing you to include information as you need to for your ad to be successful. Please support us but not including external links within your ad.


4. My ad has been removed, why?

This could be due to the following reasons:

  • Your ad may have been reported to us, and as a result it has been suspended for further investigation. You will be notified by our team if this occurs.
  • If your listing has not violated any of our terms then your ad will be reposted and you will be notified.
  • We deem your listing to be inappropriate and have removed it to protect other BMBOOT users.

5. I cannot seem to find my ad on the site, why is this?

This could be due to the following reasons:

Wanted Advert

  • This is possibly due to your ad duration having expired. The answer is simple, simply repost another ad.
  • Your listing may have been removed due to security reasons or a breach of our policy. Please refer to our Terms of Service.

Travel Listing advert

  • This is possibly due to your listing expiring.

Please note the travel listings expire at midnight on the departure date.  You can repost your travel details again by clicking on Post your ad.


6. How long does it take before my ad goes live?

All posts are security checked through our system before appearing as a listing. This may take a few hours so please be patient.


Reposting

7. How do I repost my ad?

To do this carry out the following:

  1. Log into you’re My BMBOOT section
  2. Select Manage listings
  3. Select your ad you want to renew from the table
  4. Your ad will than be automatically be renewed.

8. I have not received any responses to my ad, why?

This could be due to the following reasons:

  • You may have uploaded your ad under the wrong category. You need to repost your ad in the correct category that best matches your item.
  • Your contact details may be incorrect. You need to amend them via the MyBmboot section.
  • Your ad has possibly expired. Simply repost your ad.

9. I have received a response to my ad that I think is suspicious, how do I deal with this?

If you believe the response to be suspicious please report it to us and we will investigate it further.


10. I have received spam emails in response to my ad, what do I do?

If you are receiving messages (spam) in response to your ad, then please forward the email as an attachment to support@bmboot.com with the word SPAM within the subject line. It is important you actually attach the email and not forward it as important information can be lost. The BMBOOT team will investigate further.


11. How do I leave feedback for BMBOOT services?

Whatever your suggestions, however great or small, feel free to send them our way. We want to improve BMBOOT’s services and make it as efficient as possible and an enjoyable community for all.


12. How I delete my account?

Currently if you wish to delete your BMBOOT account, please send us in an email via our contact us page. The mail must be from your existing email address and must include your username.


13. How do I get paid?

You choose which method suits you best. We encourage our community users to use Escrow.com or Paypal for secure online payment methods. Please view our Satefy Tips


14. What if my travel details/arrangements have changed after I have posted my ad?

If your travel details have changed and you have not yet agreed to do a BMBOOT then please repost your new travel details. We are currently working on the feature where you can amend you can amend your ads using the MyBmboot.
If you have agreed to a BMBOOT request please notify the person you have agreed with about the changes. Try not to leave someone in the lurch. BMBOOT is a friendly community.


15. I can no longer carry out the BMBOOT request after I have posted after ad, what do I do?

A. We are currently working on the feature where you can delete or amend your advert, but in the meantime if you receive any responses just respond back to the person explaining you will be unable to carry out a request due to your circumstances.


16. I am travelling to multiple destinations how do I include this within my travel details post?

Just post which destination you’re travelling from and to as a singular/one way post. You can include as much detail as you like and include your stop off’s as well.


General

17. How do I work out the currency of my item?

We have provided you with a currency converter link which can be use to work out the price of your wanted item if it is located abroad. You can use the currency converter link at the top right hand side of the page or within the post BMBOOT ad form. This link has been added for your convenience.


18. My access has been restricted on the site, why?

It is likely that you have breached terms and conditions on BMBOOT.com or have been reported by a fellow BMBOOT user for inappropriate behaviour or posting unsuitable material. In any case please contact us and we will tell you more.
